Dear Sir/Madam, There is a common belief that the scientific community is disconnected from civil society and the labor market. Even in the sectors of Green Infrastructure (GI) and Urban Forestry (UF), further collaboration among stakeholders is needed – and therefore we want to better understand the actual background and needs of three categories of stakeholders involved in GI and UF: research scientists, policy makers and private professionals. We would appreciate your help in this endeavor by answering a short questionnaire. The FLA department of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus (TEIEP, Arta, GREECE) is seeking for a colleague to work for a period between September and December 2013 at TEIEP Kostakii Campus at Arta. The focal point of the work will be to cooperation with the staff of our laboratory in order to collect data regarding WG1 indices for the selected city in Greece (Ioannina, 65km from TEIEP). A backgound on GIS, green roofs, urban hydrology and ENVI applications would be very welcomed. Dr. Varras Greg and Dr. Tasoulas Vaggelis (MC member and substitute respectively of Cost FP1204 action) which work at our laboratory will be along with Dr. Tsirogiannis Yannis the main colleagues of the fellow that will come to work at Arta.
